  • Take a city of nearly 2 million people, with lots of jobs, a huge tax base to support basic civic services like schools and cops and garbage collection. Now erode the tax base by moving most of those jobs out of state or country.

  • Sure, I'd take a restored 1970 Road Runner or Chevelle SS anyday. Hell, any muscle car from that period. And 40 years later, if you have a mostly original model in good shape, particularly from a limited production run, like Mustang Shelby's, you can pay a million bucks. That's not the point.

Eliminate all unions, eliminate the minimum wage, cut worker pay to $1 an hour, and most of the out sourced jobs …

  • All this right wing union bashing is both naive and stupid. The demise of Detroit and the American auto industry has nothing to do with unions. The US had virtually no competition in 1950. Europe and Asia were in ruins from war, and the US was growing fast.

  • "The Kids Are Alright" doesn't deserve this credit. It had me in it's grips right till the end....then it sucked. The story line concludes with this strong backlash against the biological father, making him a villain who tries to break up the harmony of this 2-mom family.
